To ensure you enjoy your Stadler shoes for as long as possible, here are a few care tips:
Good shoes deserve good care – proper leather care significantly extends the lifespan of your shoes.
Leather is a natural, "living" material and is subject to a certain aging process. To prevent the leather from drying out, becoming brittle, and to maintain its suppleness, it must be regularly treated with conditioning agents.
After cleaning the shoes with a brush – for heavier soiling with lukewarm water or leather cleaner – allow the shoes to dry slowly and thoroughly.
Important:
Never dry shoes directly on a radiator, oven, or in direct sunlight – wet leather „burns“ very easily (it becomes hard, brittle, and fragile).
After drying, apply the appropriate care product depending on the type of leather:
Full-grain leather:
Apply a thin layer of silicone- or wax-based cream and polish with a soft cloth.
By gently warming the leather with a hairdryer, the conditioning substances of the cream penetrate the leather even better and deeper.
Too much cream, however, clogs the pores and reduces breathability!
Finally, protect the leather from moisture and dirt with waterproofing spray.
Caution: Do not use oils or fats for care – this will make the leather soft and spongy, and also cause it to lose breathability.
Nubuck and suede leather:
Special suede care sprays provide the leather with the necessary nourishment. Waterproofing sprays seal the surface and protect against dirt and moisture. Finally, restore the velvety surface with a crepe brush.
Shoe cream can also be used for care, but this drastically changes the character of the leather – giving it a "greasy" look.
Chamois:
The special tanning process gives the chamois leather the property of cleaning itself over time and developing a protective patina.
Heavy soiling can be carefully removed with a leather eraser.
For better dirt repellency and protection against moisture, the use of waterproofing spray is recommended.
General care tips:
– Remove the footbeds from the shoes to allow for better ventilation.
– Store the shoes with wooden shoe trees in a well-ventilated place
– Treat the lining leather with moisturizing cream from time to time – the very aggressive foot sweat dries out
The lining leather deteriorates, making it brittle and hard.
Give your shoes time to dry out the absorbed moisture – leather can absorb a lot of moisture.
save – to return. This prevents the development of unpleasant [issues/conditions].
They eliminate odors and, on the other hand, also extend the lifespan of your shoes.
– Avoid contact with gasoline, acid and liquid manure – these liquids are particularly aggressive
and attack both the sole and the adhesive, and can destroy your Stadler shoe.
