Wandering shoemaker<\/h3>\n

It all began when Ferdinand Stadler, a traveling shoemaker, went from farm to farm. As was the custom in the Tyrolean mountains at the time, the farmers had the hides of their slaughtered calves and cattle tanned themselves. At regular intervals, a shoemaker would come in exchange for food, lodging, and a small allowance to make new shoes from these hides and to repair those that were still usable.<\/p>\n\n\t

After Ferdinand Stadler had established a reputation as a skilled shoemaker, he decided to settle down and, together with his wife Kathi Stadler, founded a small shoemaking workshop in 1930 in Oberau, a small mountain village in the Kitzb\u00fchel Alps.<\/p>\n\n\t

Conquest of Austria<\/h3>\n

Over time, the handcrafted shoes became increasingly popular and well-known. The shoes, which were then produced under the name "Festa" for Ferdinand Stadler, soon conquered all of Austria.<\/p>\n\n\t

Relocation to W\u00f6rgl<\/h3>\n

Ferdinand Stadler was a highly innovative individual who developed numerous patents that would have a lasting impact on the development of an entire industry. After being taken over by his two sons, Alfred and Kurt Stadler, in 1972, the company relocated to W\u00f6rgl.<\/p>\n\n\t
